Our Senior Management Team

Abraham Sims, Chief Executive Officer
Abe has over 10 plus years in the healthcare industry in both acute and post-acute settings.  During his career, Abe has taken on several progressive roles, including Occupational Therapist, Director of Rehab Services, Administrative Officer for Ancillary Services and most recently as a Chief Operating Officer for an acute care facility in Oklahoma. Abe is board certified in healthcare managment and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Abe has Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Oklahoma.  

Jeff Crawford, Vice President, Business Development
Jeff has 10 years of experience in business development and marketing of Inpatient Rehabilitation and LTAC services in the greater Houston market.  The last 2 years have been spent in new hospital development in the Houston area and south Texas.  He has been very successful in new business, project development and partner recruiting for Reliant Hospital Partners.  You can reach Jeff at jcrawford@relianthcp.com.


Kim Smith, Chief Nursing Officer
Kim has been in nursing for over 20 years. She started as a CNA and worked her way up through LVN and then RN. She recently completed a Bachelor in Healthcare Administration and is presently pursuing a Masters in Public Health.

Kim has had experience in various areas in healthcare such as; ICU, ER, dialysis, med-surg, and home health. She was a member of the Air Force Reserves and served as a Medical Specialist for 6 years. She has held the position of Infection Control Practitioner for the last 4 years and is a member of APIC (Association of Epidemiologists and Infection Contol).



David M. Davis, Director of Plant Operations
Having over 18 years in the medical field David, started his career in the medical field as a Certified Medical Assistant. He rapidly advanced holding management positions with Neurobehavioral Institute of Houston, Neurobehavioral Resources, Ltd. (The Ranch) & Director of Plant Operations and Safety Officer with Nexus Specialty Hospital. David has played an extensive role in the start up of both Neurobehavioral Resources, Ltd., transforming a small 26 acre ranch into a functional rehabilitation program for neurologically challenged patients, and Nexus Specialty Hospital, a sister company of The Ranch. David brings with him an extensive knowledge regarding all operations of facilities management pertaining to hospital venues, as well as safety and OSHA regulations.

Krista Uselman, Chief Clinical Officer
Krista has over 12 years of experience in healthcare, primarily in inpatient rehabilitation.  Her most recent position was with Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital of North Houston as the  Director of Clinical Support, which involved oversight of various departments including Case Management, Health Information Management, Radiology, Admissions, and Dietary.  She is a Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker and Certified Case Manager.

Laurie Garner, PT, MBA, Chief Therapy Officer

Laurie has over 30 years experience in the healthcare industry as a licensed physical therapist with 15 years experience in rehabilitation services.  Other experiences included Acute and Long Term Acute Care.  Laurie has worked with both inpatient and outpatients programs serving pediatric through geriatric populations and has experience in program development and start up of a sports medicine outpatient clinic.  Laurie has served as Director of Clinical Services and Director of Rehabilitation Services with previous employers.  She received a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Women's University and MBA in Healthcare Management from Our Lady of the Lake University.
